“Furthering the Ethos of the Alumni and run on Severn Guiding Principles...."

Term Study Courses and Discovery Holiday Courses Afloat for your Children, Relations, and Friends in our true expedition tradition. Life skills, project studies, and all the disciplines that go with sailing expeditions.

We used the mountains in the summer for walking, climbing, camping, and learning to look after ourselves in a rugged environment. In the winter the students all donned their skis and took their expertise to the highest standards in all the skiing disciplines, including ski mountaineering.

The sea can offer comparable opportunities. It can provide that little bit of wet hardship and a tremendous feeling of accomplishment. Whether we are sailing small dinghies of larger boats we never go out without learning something new about the sea, seamanship, nature, or the weather. More importantly we learn about ourselves and our relationships with our fellow seafarers or team members.

Our course will be fun and will allow your Children to understand and appreciate the educational ethos as we see it, to learn life skills, and to appreciate the ocean environment by living, studying and working together on a beautiful, traditional, and safe Pilot Cutter. Learning to be an expert sailor and navigator is an additional by-product.

Our Appeal - We need your help by supporting this project and becoming a Founder Member: We are in the process of purchasing two identical and unique, historic craft which sail beautifully and are renowned for their seaworthiness. Being equipped with the latest IT and communications devices, will enable students to study their course work, research projects, or write a thesis, whilst in video contact with teachers and lecturers back at base.

Infinity & Eternity – two unique, identical, historic Pilot Cutters. We have two bases, one in Dartmouth UK near the Royal Naval College and the other on the opposite side of the English channel in Saint-Malo France. The boats will usually sail together and are capable of taking students round Europe, or down into the Mediterranean, or across the Atlantic.

The Foundation directs and manages educational opportunities, both for students and teachers. The students will sail with fully qualified young skipper/teachers who have been trained by Will Sutherland - Teacher and RYA Ocean Yachtmaster. Everyone pays a little, but the Foundation will be able to generate funds through sales of courses, sponsorship packages, and memberships, and to distribute these funds by way of bursaries and scholarships as it so deems fit. Thus we are adding another string to the our bow and providing a marketing tool par excellence, whilst offering students a unique opportunity to grow.

Benefits to the members:

By becoming a founder member and you will benefit from opportunities to:

1. Send your children, or nominate other children related to you, to go on our life changing courses at greatly reduced costs;
